This is a very simple note to describe what we do about data protection on this website.
The site uses no cookies other than those that the WordPress platform uses (session and login cookies; they do not track) to keep the site running. WordPress is a platform on which the site runs. It supplies all of the functionality to produce posts and pages easily, and is used by millions of websites worldwide, including some very important ones.
There is no shop on the website.
There is a membership list held on this site. Members data is not accessible to the general public. The only data kept is name, email and the password for you to access the membership only sections on this site, plus any description you may wish to add. Note that the password kept is only for use to login to this site. Data is encrypted.
A member may edit the data. A member may delete their membership, which deletes all of their data.
The site is as accessible as we can make it. We publish an email address, lyond@essex.ac.uk for comments and complaints which we will use to improve the site.
