“Colchester Shul Chair, Rina Isaacson, and BoD member Anne Sherer Broom, were among some 80 guests at a reception held for small Jewish communities at the House of Commons on Wedn esday, 5th November.Organised by the Jewish Small Communities Network, (JSCN).
The reception brought together MPs with leaders of some 30 small communities from Aberdeen to Penzance.It is estimated that one in four British Jews lives in a small community, many without a shul and dependent on leaders from larger cities for services and kashrut.”
Rina adds: “It was a great honour to visit Parliament and to connect with MPs who support Jewish communities.
The day was an excellent networking opportunity and a chance to discuss the many issues facing communities outside the major cities. We have come away with lots of ideas about links with other communities – and how we can share best practice for all our members.”
